TAPS – Movie Screening of Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale

Dear TAPS members,

TAPS is proud to present a special movie screening of the film “Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale.” The film is set during Japanese rule on Taiwan, and closely describes the events of the Wushe Incident of 1930. Mona Rudao, a chief of Mahebu village of Seediq people, led his people in an uprising against the ruling Japanese. The film has won numerous awards and stars Lin Ching-Tai, Da Ching, Umin Boya, Masanobu Ando, Landy Wen, Hsu Yi-fan, Irene Luo, Vivian Hsu, Chie Tanaka, and Ma Ju-lung. This is a unique cultural event for TAPS. If you enjoy attending the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), you won’t want to miss this event.

Please save the date Friday, 4/27. Come experience a great film and support Taiwanese films. The 21:45 showing is likely to sell out, so please purchase your tickets in advance at Fandango if you are serious about going. The seating is first-come-first-serve. If you can’t make it on Friday, this movie is running until Thursday, May 3rd.

Spring has arrived, and it is a good time to welcome it with open arms and a round of Happy Hour! Come join us at Seattle's Amber. There will be opportunities for you to network with other young professionals. So bring your friends and coworkers along with your business card, to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. The Happy Hour starts at 4pm and ends at 7pm, so come early and enjoy the Happy Hour Menu. Our event will run from 6pm-9pm. Remember to bring your ID since this establishment is 21 and over.

The New Year has arrived, and it is a good time to welcome it with open arms and a round of Happy Hour.

Come join us at Bellevue’s Munchbar. There will be opportunities for you to network with other young professionals. So bring your friends and coworkers along with your business card, to meet new friends and catch up with old ones.

TAPS Special Movie Screening of Empire of Silver

Dear TAPS members,

TAPS is proud to present a special movie screening of the film “Empire of Silver”. Set in 1899, the film follows the story of a carefree young man who must prepare to take over his family’s Chinese banking empire. The film has won 19 International awards including Best Director at the Shanghai International Film Festival and stars Hong Kong pop star and actor, Aaron Kwok.

Taiwanese American director Christina Yao, director of “Empire of Silver”, will be making a special appearance at the screening and will be available for Q&A afterwards.

This is a unique cultural event for TAPS. If you enjoy attending the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), you won’t want to miss this event.
