Habitat for Humanity Build-a-Thon Event

TAPS is helping out with the Habitat for Humanity Build-a-Thon Event from September 17-26. We have a TAPS team registered already and are excited to be participating in the Second Annual Build-a-Thon! Much like a Walk-A-Thon, Build-A-Thon volunteers engage family and friends to sponsor their volunteer hours with Habitat. For example, if 25 of your friends or colleagues gave just $10 each, you would raise $250 for Habitat homeowners!
There are two ways you can help TAPS participate in the Build-a-Thon event.
1) Join the TAPS team and volunteer for Habitat. Our current volunteer shift is scheduled for Issaquah, Satuday, 9/18/2010, 8:30-4:00 PM.
The instructions to join the TAPS team are:
-Visit the website: www.habitatbuildathon.org
-Click the [I want to participate] button.
-Click the [Join a team] button.
-Fill out the user profile and under “Which team would you like to join?”, make sure you select TAPS.
Please note there is a $25 registration fee for every participant. This fee includes a confirmed shift, your own webpage, lunch, and a t-shirt.

2) Sponsor the TAPS team with your donation. No donation is too small!

TAPS Karaoke Party at Orient Express

On Saturday Aug 28th, 8pm-2am we will host a Karaoke party at Orient Express. $15 Covers food/singing

For those of you who’ve been to the place, you may know that the singing is complimentary all-you-can-sing. If you haven’t been to the place, it’s a unique vintage Train restaurant with Karaoke and bar located south of Downtown Seattle. Like a time capsule brings you back to a time before high speed trains and before the electrification of the railways. There’s plenty of space for parking. Let’s put on the ROCK STAR outfits and join in the fun ^_^

TAPS First Karaoke!!

Who is ready to rock?! Or how about singing the night away with the mic in your hands and fans to cheer you on? Alright, perhaps you have to bring your own fans, though people do cheer.
Introducing TAPS first KARAOKE event. Our New Social Chairs would like to launch the first quarter in 2010 with a bang. Let us bring in the New Year with singing, food, drinks, and great people. Ski Trip with TAPS and NAAAP-Seattle

Greetings skiers and snowboarders! Our popular ski trip is back!!!
Please join TAPS for a trip to Stevens Pass (http://www.stevenspass.com/) on Sunday, March 21st, 2010 for fun on the slopes. We welcome skiers and snowboarders of all levels!
Here are the trip details:
1. Please wear ski/snowboard clothes and bring your ski/snowboard gear. Waterproof clothes, helmet/cap, and goggles are recommended! We recommend walkie-talkies as this will be the communication method between cars in case someone gets lost. If you are a driver, please bring chains (in case the road gets icy!).
2. Carpool: Meet at 8:00am at the Bellevue Wilburton Park-N-Ride (off exit 12 of I-405). We will then assign carpools, and we will head out at 8:30am to Stevens Pass.
3. After everyone arrives at Stevens Pass, let’s meet at 10:30am by the clock tower. At the end of the day, let’s meet at 5:00pm inside the Granite Peaks Lodge. We will leave Stevens Pass at 6:00pm.

-> Price for lift ticket: $53.00 / person

7. Also, if you are willing to drive, please include comments “I can drive” in your RSVP. Drivers will be compensated by $10 per passenger (for gas and wear/tear on vehicle). On the day of the event, drivers must get their contact info to Hang Chen to confirm and a TAPS Board member will contact you for compensation.
